Trekking from South to North: the Majellatrekking guides will lead you along trails marked P and then B3 and B2 of the Majella National Park, (an official network of paths and tracks) which cross the whole southern section of the protected area from the lowest part of Mount Porrara to the town of Caramanico. The two day hike includes a camp out on Mount Amaro, the highest peak of the Majella Massive. This long but technically easy trek winds through the most beautiful ridge of the Majella, immersed in the “stone desert” and then, down along the western slope of the Orfento valley towards the characteristic village of Caramanico, known for its ancient thermal sulphur springs.
