Trekking from Campo di Giove to Fara San Martino: the Majellatrekking guides will take you along trails marked P1 and then trails P and H1 of the Majella National Park, which cross the entire protected area from Campo di Giove the highest village in the Park to Fara S. Martino, famous worldwide for its pasta factories. The proposed itinerary takes place over two days with a camp out on the main peak of the Majella: M. Amaro. This trek, long but technically within reach of any trained walker, winds along the eastern slope of the Majella, crosses the “stone desert” and descends onto the eastern side of the massif along the Fara S. Martino valley, the longest altitude difference in the Apennines, arriving at the village of Fara S. Martino after crossing the famous gorges of San Martino and the river Verde springs.
